Top Affordable Loungewear Brands 2020
As we are all currently quarantined across the United States – and world, for that matter, it is crucial to stay home as much as possible. In order to fight against COVID-19 and keep the virus contained as best as possible, home is the safest place to be. And not just for you, but for those around you as well. To make matters worse, thousands of people have been laid off of work. If you are fortunate enough to still have your job, chances are you are working from home.
Due to all of the above, it seems as though 2020 is going to be the year of loungewear (which I’m not entirely mad about TBH). We’re all about staying cozy and making the most out of WFH life, which means sweatpants, joggers, and sweatshirts galore.
If you are totally sick of the old sweats that you’ve been wearing for years now, don’t worry. I’ve compiled a list of my top five affordable loungewear brands. These are all totally affordable online retailers that have clothes cute enough to brighten up your day and your Instagram feed. And honestly, you may not want to go back to your regular clothes again.
Here’s my roundup of the top five brands for loungewear right now:
#1. Pretty Little Thing
If you want to look super cute for those zoom meetings, but you aren’t ready to spend upwards of $100 for a loungewear set, then this is the perfect first stop. PLT is constantly hosting the most insane sales, with the norm being 50 percent off (um, two of everything please). The only downside to a fast fashion brand like this at the moment, is that the hottest items sell out quickly.
After searching through pretty much every loungewear site, these are without a doubt the most affordable joggers out there. With a price tag of only $12.50, two pairs were absolutely necessary, of course.

As for sizing, I suggest sizing up in these if you want a comfier, more “sweatpants” style. I normally wear a size 2, but I decided to get a size 4 in these for lounging around and/or sleeping in.
Pretty Little Thing Tan Joggers
Sizing: These are a size 2, which is my true size. You can rock these either rolled over or high waisted, and style many different ways. I love the color, which makes them super easy to dress up or down. By pairing these with some gold jewelry and a black long sleeve top, it’s the perfect look for a Zoom happy hour, or a work from home meeting. Minimal effort for a high (fashionable) reward? These long sleeve tops came in a pack of two for only $15 for both! At the same time, they’re so soft and comfy and are perfect for layering or just wearing on their own. Also, these tops can be dressed up or down, which makes them a closet staple.

2. Amazon Fashion
We love a good matching lounge-set; however, most matching sets are super expensive online right now because, well – let’s face it, they’re all the hype right now.
Instead, hop over to Amazon and search for the exact lounge-set that’s on your wish list; I can guarantee you that you’ll find something pretty darn similar.

I’m seriously loving the white on white lounge-set right now because it’s perfect for spring/summer lounging. For one, t’s a nice change from the typical grey and black sweats. And on top of this, you can even do a little DIY project and tie dye the set as well!
As for sizing in regards to the white crewneck, I’m normally a size small, but got a size medium for an oversized look.
The white joggers pictured are actually from Boohoo; however, Amazon has tons of joggers as well! For sizing in the joggers, I wear a size small. However, I suggest sizing up if you’d like to be able to roll them over or wear them a bit more oversized.

3. Princess Polly
With summer right around the corner, lightweight loungewear becomes increasingly desirable. Although it may be getting warm outside; we still want to be cozy inside while we’re quarantined! Due to the weather heating up outside, we suggest checking out Australian online retailers for loungewear. Australian fashion brands like Princess Polly have some super cute, on-trend loungewear that uses lightweight fabrics. If we can stay cozy in loungewear throughout the spring and summer without sweating, sign us up.
For these reasons, Princess Polly is definitely one of the best loungewear brands for transitioning into warmer weather.
These cute crewnecks can be worn in 70-degree weather with biker shorts, or just sweats for lounging indoors. Therefore, they’re perfect to wear while sipping a refreshing cocktail in your backyard or to hop on House Party to chat with some friends!

Princess Polly Button-Down Top
Additionally, I’m loving oversized button-down shirts for loungewear! Sometimes, we get tired of throwing on hoodies and crewnecks and just want to switch up the look.
All you need is a sports bra and some biker shorts under a long shirt like this, and you have the perfect, yet super cute lounge-y look. Also, you can even button it up for when you have to hop on a virtual meeting! Oversized tops like these are a *must have* staple in the closet. The neutral color and lightweight fabric make it perfect for layering. On top of this, it can be worn literally any season of the year. This makes it well worth the price tag of only $47.
Sizing: I got my true size (US 2) in this top because it is naturally oversized. Also, it’s 100% cotton, so it’s super soft and comfy, yet lightweight enough to wear all spring.

4. Missguided
Missguided is another very popular online retailer that people may not think of when it comes to loungewear. But don’t sleep on this brand! They are constantly restocking cute, on-trend loungewear that’s comfy enough to sleep in.
This Missguided crewneck is a staple that literally everyone needs in their wardrobe. Additionally, it comes in so many different colors; however, the sand color is definitely a favorite. Surprisingly, for such a simple sweater, I get tons of compliments on this whenever I wear it!
It’s such a staple that you can dress up or down, and I love the color of it; it’s a neutral tone that you don’t see very often. Neutrals are very in style right now, and we’re here for the many different ways you can wear this trendy crewneck. Layer some necklaces on top, throw on some hoops, and you have yourself the cutest Zoom date-night look.
As for sizing, I highly suggest sizing up one size in this sweatshirt. It’s super cozy when it’s a bit oversized, and that’s the goal here, right?!

5. Fabletics
Fabletics has some of the coziest, yet super chic loungewear in the game. This brand has to be one of the best out there in terms of staying on trend and affordable at the same time. Moreover, one of the best parts of this brand is that they have pre-styled outfits that their team has already put together, so all you need to do is pick the one that best fits your style!
This biker shorts and long-sleeve top set is perfect for when you’re feeling stir crazy and need to get out of the house! I wore it here on a mini road trip from LA to Joshua Tree and let me tell you, it may have been the comfiest outfit I ever wore while driving.
As for sizing, Fabletics runs very true to size. The biker shorts and top are both a size small. The best part is that although this comes as a set, you can mix and match it with other lounge/active wear pieces that you have to create a whole new look.

They’re constantly innovating when it comes to comfortable bras, bandeaus, and tanks that fit like a glove. 2020 is all about looking good, but feeling even better, and this top looks like it would make me feel pretty amazing, TBH. This would be perfect for just wearing with some oversized sweats, wearing under a sweatshirt, or layering.

Stay cozy and cute while shelter in place remains in effect by sprucing up your loungewear, but don’t break the bank. With so many restaurants, bars, etc. closed, now is the perfect opportunity to save your money. However, mental health is important. And looking good, also translates to feeling good.
Overall, fashion can prove to be an escape from what is going on in the world around us, and if there’s a way to make you feel even the tiniest bit better about staying home, we’re here for it.
